When candling one of my female muscovies, I saw what looked like two embryos growing. Is that even possible? It was also heavier than my other egg I'd candled that looked normal.

:welcome It is possible for a double yolk egg to contain two developing embryos. Generally such eggs do not result in viable hatchlings. In some cases with assistance ducklings/chicks have been hatched from double yolkers.

Twin eggs fascinate me! What Sourland said. I've read many posts on here about peoples experiences with twin embryos. Unfortunately alot fail but some do indeed hatch.
