It looks like she is molting and it will be several weeks before she’ll be able to fly again. As long as she stays in the middle of your pool at night she should be fairly safe from predators. Proper nutrition will help her feathers grow in full and strong. Have you been feeding her anything? If so, what? Too much bread especially will weaken her legs and her feathers. Best of luck and keep us posted on how she’s doing.

I feed her a 4 grain cracked corn mixture (feed store recommended) a little bit of dried crickets and meal worms and eukanuba dog food in the morning (about a half a cup) but mostly she forages throughout the day. I also keep fresh water for her.
