Muscovy duck with abnormal gizzard. Advice Needed.

But if a duck is on full feed it might always look like that....

It maybe needs some grit to help it digest food faster.

My duck's enlarged breast is still not receding. He is still really active and eating, but the bulge seems to have gotten bigger and has solidified somewhat. He's about the same weight as when the bulge showed up.

Is there something I can do to help him get back to normal? I am concerned that it's going to be permanent.

I'd say a pic would help alot. Seems if he was impacted he wouldn't still be eating and drinking and acting normal. So I am not sure what could be going on.

He looks young. I have never seen anything like this I hope @casportpony has some suggestions on what to do if there is anything He sure looks healthy other wise. Beautiful drake

I had two like this last year and I never did figure out what it was. Is a vet an option?

What does his poop look like?

If he were mine I would want to figure out what the lump was, and I would start by passing a long tube to see if the crop was blocked. If it was blocked I would try to figure out if the blockage was grain or grass. If grain, it's possible that by with holding food and tubing just water it could be broken up, but if grass, that's one that would most likely require surgery.

You could use a piece of aquarium air line if you melt the end with a lighter first. Not melted the edges are too sharp a could damage the mouth, esophagus, or crop.
