There's a neighborhood not to far from my home where I see lots of Muscovy ducks walking around the neighborhood I'm wondering can I get a few and raise in my yard

Are they feral? And do you intend to feed and provide a safe coop for them for over night and make sure they are safe during the day also? Ducks are on every predators menu and anyone who takes a duck home has the responsibility of caring for it just like any pet. Or do you plan on eating them?

Yes they are feral, and yes I plan to give them proper food and living arrangements I care for several animals on my property and was thinking of adding ducks to that list and figured it would be better since they are a s problem in this neighborhood

I see your from Jax Fl. My birth place. lol
Go for it they need all the protection they can get poor things. Just be responsible and once you get them home keep them there. If that means clipping a wing to keep them grounded then do it. I rescued mine from the river below my home here and I decided when I brought them home in 2004 I would not add to the feral pop here. Those all now dead from old age but I still have their off spring. I love my Muscovy's they are awesome birds. Please let me know how this goes. Are you on the St Johns river?

Thanks yes I plan to be a responsible owner I live on the westside of town but I have see the population grow rapidly in this neighborhood I fell this will hell in many ways
