Muscovy duck

Hi there everyone
im new to this site and new to raising ducks and chickens.
I have multi breads of chickens (10 chickens 3 roosters)
2 Muscovy ducks & 1 Muscovy drake.
I am wondering if anyone can help me out with breading them and when they do bread seasons, and at what ages they start ect ect. ..
any information on breading and what a good diet is for helping them bread
all would be most appreciated.

Welcome to BYC!!

Muscovy's are a little slower in maturing than other breeds or i have found mine to be. I usually don't see an egg till they are 7-9 months old and usually they start mating around 7 months old, so what hatches say in 2015 won't begin to mate or lay eggs untl spring of 2016.
A good diet considt of good foraging, a good all round feed like and all flock or layer but when having drakes i like to use an all flock and offer oyster shell to my layers so the drakes etc aren't getting so much extra calcium, here is a link to the Muscovy thread come join us.
