My muscovy hen and I (long story) hatched out 7 ducklings late June. They are 4-5 weeks old now. 6 of them are a combination of blue/brown/white and 1 is all white, with maybe a hint of blue on it's tail. The white one is tiny compared to the colored ones. (s)he's not feathering like the others are either. I managed to catch him/her and a sibling to weigh them and take pictures. The bigger, colored duckling weighed 1.69 lbs. and the white ducklings weighed .99 lbs.

Here are some pics:

Is there something wrong with the little white one? He eats and drinks just like the others. He can keep up with them no problem and acts just like them. Maybe (s)he's the only girl and all the rest are boys? (I really hope not, but it's a possibility.) What do you think?

At this age you should start seeing a difference in size between genders. As long as this one is eating, pooping and acting normal I wouldn't worry. It may be that you have 1 girl and the rest boys.

Maybe its just something genetic.

My little bantam cochin roo still hasnt feathered in and hes around 9 weeks old now. All he has are his leg wing and neck feathers, the rest of him is covered in chick fuzz. His shoulders are covered in down feathers, looks like a cross between a silkie and dust bunny. lol

When i first got him it hought he was a frizzle, but hes just a scraggly looking little bird lol.

I really would not worry as long as its eating healthy and pooping healthy. If its acting like a duck it should be fine. If it starts getting lethargic or sneezing or something along those lines I would worry. Just keep him warm and happy, which Im sure is what you are doing!

X2. If it was a micro duck it would not have been close that size.

Well, that's what I figured was the biggest possibility, her being the only girl. Thanks for all the quick responses! :) I'll keep watching them and see how they continue growing. She's acting normally so I don't think she's sick or anything. There are a couple more that are smaller than some of the bigger ones, but they still tower over the little white one. There is one that I'm pretty positive is a drake because he's massive.

If it's eating/drinking/acting normal as others have said i wouldn't worry at this point. I currently have my baby flock of 9.. only one is a duck.. she looks like a toy up against her brothers lol (they are 7wks)
