Muscovy ducklings look like they will hatch a week early?!?!?!

Not sure if the blind one hatched last as I couldn't get a good look at them during hatching because she was keeping them tucked safely under her until they finished hatching. They all hatched within 12hours. She would raise her chest and let me have a quick look as if showing them off but them hide them again. So cute. She did that last hatch too. Her last hatch was 4 months ago and significantly cooler and they took about 37 days to hatch.

Let her and her ducklings out into the yard with the father, 'Bob', this afternoon for a meet and greet. Such a gorgeous family. Was so taken by them wandering around after Mum and Dad that I forgot to take a pic.
And Father Bob did good with them? some drakes can't be trusted. Thankfully my drake just gets the heck away from moms and babies. Last year he acted terrified of them when I'd let him be around them with supervision. lol

Bob was fantastic with the ducklings. Bob and Pip are such good parents. We know to be careful with Bob while he is getting use to them as I know drakes can be nasty to their offspring so last time he was only allowed supervised visits for the first couple of weeks. He was giving them a gentle nudge every now and then as though he was saying hello and they were giving him a peck back. Last batch of ducklings he would stand with them under him while Pip had a bathe and break from them. Will have to get some pics of them together.

Bob seems to be an extremely gentle drake. Here's a pic of him with my oldest daughter when he was about 5 months old and again when fully grown.

@Del1977 those pics are so nice Bob looks to be right at home. Glad to hear he is such a good dad too. Please be sure to post as many pics as you want we love looking at baby and adult pics. [Your lil chick is a cutie too] Always nice to see kids and animals together.

Blind duckling is still doing really well, so I'm wondering if it is just vision impairment rather than completely blind.

Might be if the lil one is able to stay up with the group and find food and water. That would def be a plus for the lil one.
