Muscovy ducks color

Hi!
Would like to get your opinion please, is there a chance one of these two 3-month-old ducks will have white face?
Photo attched.
I have seen many females muscovies with white face but never had one.

The Pied is starting to get white around her eyes, so it's a possibility!

I've also had one that had a completely black head in the fall and a white one by the following summer!

Well, I see you wrote "her" - it has a huge meaning for me since I'm really expecting a female to my yard!! Do you think its a female??

Difficult to say, but she seems to have a smaller more graceful head, and her legs are definitely thinner. @Miss Lydia is much better at this than me, lets see what she has to say!

It is hard to say you’ll just have to wait till molt.

Muscovy ducks change their head color as they molt at different ages:

Daffy, a rescue, likely hatched 7/19/2021. He was all yellow except for a hint of dark color on his tail.

Photos (1) 2021/10/02 -- all dark head

(2) 2022/01/16 -- white with some black feathers "Speckled"

(3) 2022/1007 almost pure white
