What did I do wrong. I was trying to hatching muscovy duck eggs. Everything went great until lockdown. I candled all my eggs on Sunday and I could see movement in 10 of the eggs. As of today I had to end the incubation. All ducks had died in the eggs and did not try to hatch. I kept my humidity low until hatching time. Help.

I read that article multiple times during the incubation process. I hate I lost all of those eggs. Just confused on how I could mess up and get 0 to hatch.

I am sorry you lost them all. I don't hatch in a bator I let my Muscovy's hatch their own eggs so I am not one to give info on this. @casportpony is experienced at hatching Muscovy maybe she can give insight.

Thanks for the advice. I am disappointed but I was able to find someone that was selling a few ducklings. Maybe this will work better and next year I will let my own ducks hatch their eggs.

They do seem to do a better job most of the time. you might look in the buy sell trade section of BYC or rehoming section and put what state your in and some on here my have some ducklings we have our own Muscvoy duck thread I know a few still have ducklings and eggs incubating.

Its super hard to actually hatch muscovies if you dont have the right incubator and the smaller incubators actually work better, I use the brine sea mini advanced incubator and I've had great success with mine. i just water in the beginning, then on day 20 and maybe a little more on day 6 then i add water at hatch. and thats it. oh and i watch them and make sure they're healthy in the egg :)

What was your humidity during incubation? Were the eggs shipped or your own? Did you hand turn or auto turn? Did you mist them? What was your temp during incubation? I have hatched them in my hovabator. No where near as good as my scovy mommas but I got about a 50% hatch.
