Muscovy ducks laying eggs

I have two females, one male muscovy and one pekin female...

One of the muscovy females is laying eggs but isn't staying with them... in fact she laid one right out in the open barn and the other in front of the goat house....

Is she just not ready to be a mom?? She's was born in June.

I don't have a bator or a broody hen... so we just brought them in and put them with the hen eggs to use for baking....

Any suggestions??

The ducks have full access 24/7 to the chicken coop and they do go in there when it's really cold.... yesterday they spent most of the day in their pool playing...

Shes still young and just hasn't figured it all out yet.

to try incubating some of your Muscovy eggs to see if they are fertile!!!!! I am dying to get some muscovies!

Are you sure it's the muscovey's? Pekins are really good layers, but not usually real good mommies.
