Apparently they do or else Charlie didn't get the memo. She has laid an egg a day for the last 17 days. I keep taking them away as they will freeze and crack if I left them. It is also too cold IMO to be brooding duckings. I hope she decides to stop now and restart later. I wonder if she will run out of eggs for the year before it gets warm enough? I think another BYC member from Canada had a Muscovy start laying a couple of days before mine, so winter laying does happen.

my baby girl is broody right now too. poor thing she hasn't had any hatch from her last 2 clutches. i almost took her eggs away, but it's kinda dangerous to take eggs from that duck LOL

I have girls that are laying right now but I don't want anymore to brood so I've been collecting their eggs.
