Muscovy Ducks

Hi everyone,

I have a niece who originally took all my Muscovy ducks when I needed to rehome them and fell in love with the breed. Now she has one duck and has found one drake but would love to get a few more ducks so that the one she has isn't overbred. I live in Vermont. Is there anyone in the Vermont area who has either adult ducks or ducklings that they would be able to sell to her. Currently she has a black girl and a blue Drake. Would love chocolates, lavs, or even more blues. She can't afford a huge amount for each bird but 5-15 dollars would be doable for a young adult or juvenile bird. Please let me know. I would also consider hatching eggs as well and can hatch them for her.

Although I don’t have any that I’m selling, there are two resources I can pass along.

1) Front Porch Forum is town based and sends out a daily e-mail post with things that are being sold, lost/found items, general posts seeking services, etc.

2) If you or your daughter are on Facebook, there is a group called Vermont Bird Fanciers Club that is quite active. I often see ducks for sale on that.

If all else fails, there’s always Craigslist, which is where I found my two ‘Scovies!

I have messaged her several times and gotten no responses. Front Page Forum I haven't gotten much of a response from. In our area there aren't many Muscovy people. The person I got my original crew from was in Ohio and he's retired and gone out of business.
