Muscovy ducks

I am wanting some muscovies, but I only want 1 drake. Does anyone know how many hens I can put with 1 drake and have all fertile eggs ? or Drake to hens ratio ?

3 or 4 hens would be fine.

1 drake to 3-4 hens. I've read you can have up to 6 hens but I think the average is 3-4.

Thanks for the replies. I am kinda shocked..I thought those big drakes would handle several more than 3-4 hens. Bummer, I was wanting 6-8 hens.

Mine handle 10 easily. I keep 10 to each male...

The man we got our muskies from also keeps 1 drake for each 10 hens and does not have any problems with infertal eggs.

Yeah most books on them will say they will breed whatever they can catch.. lol
