Took these Muscovy Eggs from the Chicken coop today as I have an Ayam Cemani Hen who keeps on fighting the Muscovy Duck for the right to hatch these eggs ... I didn't think they were viable because it's been getting below freezing here a few times but apparently mamma'scovy has been a good mamma - until that Hen found that nest ... I don't want the eggs to break in the coop because I'd hate for my Chickens or Ducks to start eating eggs, so I brought the eggs inside and placed them in an incubator - I just don't know how far they may already be along

They look to be half way done. Day 14 or so.

WAIT!!!! Scovies go about 35 days, so are we 14 days in or half way through?
I just hatched some a few days ago but damn if I can tell by looking at a candled egg where in the incubation process we are ...
I'd still say 14-16 days. I'd start candling in 10 days, everyday. When you see an internal pip in one just start lockdown. It's easiest that way.😊
