Hi I'm new to this and recently rescued 7 eggs from a wild muscovy duck that I grew attached to that was nesting below my apartment and was then tragically killed and eaten by another wild animal (thinking it was an opossum)
Well I've been incubating the eggs in a homemade incubator for approx 2.5 wks now and they began to internally pip a few days ago and one externally pipped around 11:30pm last night and another today around 7pm (EST). How long approx after this stage do they take to fully hatch?
I'm really anxious and excited as I this is my first time and I didn't expect them to make it this far
If any do successfully hatch I do plan on turning them over to a rescue that can properly provide for them since I am very limited in space and do not have a yard
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! I've done a TON of research, but I would love to hear from experienced folk
Thanks in advance!!
