Hi guys,

I'm not a first time hatchet but it's my first time for muscovy egg hatching.
They are on day 36 all but one were looking good before lock down.. temp and humidity been stable.
No internal pips or movement at all now ?
Any ideas?

Hey, Welcome to BYC!

Im sorry but i think muscovy hatch at 32 days? That would make 36 (yest, today 37) pretty late and if your not seeing any movement they might be a loss. Is there any way you could tell if your incubator temp spiked? Couldve been anything, the humidity may've been too high throughout incubation or the temps mayve been too low and they developed slowly and just kinda gave up at the end. Do you have a good calibrated thermometer in there? Did you monitor the humidity temps during the entire incubation? The incubators thermometer themselves generally arent very accurate no matter what brand it is. Did the eggs come from your dlock or where they bought? Were the eggs shipped?

Thanks for the reply !
Eggs came from my own girl.
Monitored the whole time ! Temp stuck on 37.5 the whole time and humidity at 50 to 55 the whole time. I had cayugas in there 28 days before the muscovy and hatched absolutely fine. Candled them last night and looks like nearly all pretty late deaths. Just can't work out how all of them died ! I'm going to candle once more tonight then will give up I think.

Your welcome! If we put incubator flaw out (barring temp spike or anything like that) then id think maybe your ducks are vitamin deficient. I forget which vit but theres one imparticular that will cause that problem. Maybe B. Compleatly treatable. Ill see if i can find anymore info now that i can hold still a little while.
