Just for fun. Any guesses on gender on my 3 muscovies.
I’ve heard the black Muscovy honk.
We are pretty sure the gray Muscovy is a boy.

4 1/2 weeks old. Thank you. :)
At that age I look at bill size, and shape, and wing feather growth. Males usually feather out slower. Hopefully it becomes more apparent in the next few weeks. Generally by 8 weeks you can see any obvious size difference in the sexes. The males will also start to lay down more often.

Blu our gray one has definitely been laying down more than the others. Our chocolate Muscovy started out as the largest and is now about the same as our black one. So we are really hoping they are both female.

You can typically tell by body and head shape as well as leg and feet size. Males with have a longer body and tail. Their heads with be more oblong shaped where as females will have a circular shaped head. Also, males legs will be a lot thicker and their feet will be a lot bigger. They are just now at the age where the males will start to grow much larger than the females. Soon you will be able to tell just by their size. Also, males I'll have a flatter u-shaped tail and females a v-shaped tail. Just from the looks based on size I would say the lighter one is definitely male and the other 2 are females.

Thank you!! That’s what we are hoping for! :)
