So spring is firing up here. The incubator is full, my sweet girl is on 16 healthy eggs and my poor girl who's now being left out is champing at the bit to brood!
It shall be busy here in November

I know, it'll be hectic!
One of my other girls has been broody as sin for a week now so yesterday I caved and gave her 14 eggs to sit on. She was pulling her sister off her nest quite violently and trying to take eggs from under her so I figured I'm already up the creek, why not throw out the paddle

14??? Do they sell easily there? Here I normally only leave one or two with them, as it´s not so easy to sell the ducklings.

They seem to sell before they've even hatched here! We've been very lucky in that department.
It's only her second hatch so it's a gamble giving her so many but I was about to sell a dozen and she already had 2. Fingers crossed some will be clear lol and if not, we'll cope

Muscovies are fantastic mums generally, just with the odd exception. I had 13 hatch out of 14 eggs recently because I was trying to see if the duck would produce a particular colour, but normally I have to limit them because it´s not so easy to sell them. They breed like crazy!

In my opinion I don't understand people with chickens they're loud cranky and nasty
