Oh, and whats the duck in the other cage?
Goodness not something you want to go through on a daily basis. We have Copper heads here and I have only seen them maybe 4 times since we've moved here but that is enough One reason I like to keep Blk snakes around they will kill the Copper heads, but they also like eggs and chicks and ducklings too so they can be a pain also. Glad your okay and someone comes and mows the yard for you all soon.Eventful day today. I was out with the ducks and ducklings, and i went to check on chandler my duck as she hasnt been looking too well lately, and as I was walking past the trampoline, i didnt notice the 1m long eastern small-eyed snake that i was literally not even 15 centimeters away. Then I started walking back towards the trampoline when it started slithering away and i screamed and ran to the other side of the trampoline where I just stood still watching it, as it looked around then stared at me. my mum asked me what was happening and i told her "snake! theres a snake!" and she just stood still then she asked me where it was and i said "under the trampoline" she spotted it after 10 seconds and was like "Don't move, at all" which I replied "yeah because im totally going to move when theres a snake in attack mode" then she called for my sister who came out with her camera and mum told me that the best chance for me is to quickly get onto the tramp then my sister threw me her phone to get it on record.
unfortunately we couldnt find the snake when i was on the tramp. So maddy quickly got the ducks and ducklings back into there homes and yeah. Almost got bitten and couldve died today. it was scary and im still a bit freaked out since it was my first encounter with a deadly venomous snake, and it was my second snake ive encounted, the first snake was a carpet snake and it was on my chicken coop.
So yeah, we have only moved into this house for 7 months now and the backyard is bad as hell, and they were suppose to fix it, but they didnt, and they still havent and now we have long grass and cant see much like i couldnt see that snake, so hopefully they'll do something soon. Mum is ****** off with them haha.
Other then that. The ducklings that are still in the eggs are tapping against the shells but i think one isnt tapping in the air sac, i think its trying to get out the other way, i will have to keep an eye on that one.
So yeah, keep an eye out on snakes guysbye xx
