Bleenie, beautiful birds! We have the all white Muscovies and one of our crazy hens forgot it was still winter. She got a nest built up way under one of the out buildings and hatched out 16 ducklings last week. Crazy girl. I have her set up warm and cozy now in a section of the chicken coop and all are doing good. I do have a questions for you though. My only experience has been with the all white variety. Ours have blue eyes and I noticed that yours have brown? I was under the impression that all Muscovies had blue eyes. Obviously I am wrong. Do any other colors have blue eyes like the whites?

Some of my Blue Pieds have had Blue eyes, but I can't recall ever having a dark or solid-colored bird(or mostly solid) that had light eyes. I think it has some to do with breeding & what colors are in their genetic background. I had 1 little Blue Barred duckling that had green eyes, he was quite adorable

He's my old girl, Velvet. I haven't been able to find a grown girl that looks like her yet, it's been like 2 years since we lost her. With all the B&W Muscovies around here you would think I'd have some luck..

My new girl from my noveber hatch will look like her when she plumps out. She still has that skinny teen body of hers. But this hatch i got 2 girls and 4 boys and all have little white on them. I have one solid black male, two with white speckled heads ( not full white)and one that has just a white line on the eye and around the neck. My little hen still has some barring and a little white on the chest but not much. ill see if i can get some new pics of them.
