I just don't think her nest is safe. It looks like she arranged all the rocks she could find in the fire pit into a nest and stuffed it full of feathers. I have no idea how many eggs she even has. You can see some of the scrap wood in there also has rusty nails attached.

That's why I feel like I am going to have to attempt to move her.

Day,fifteen for my broody muscovy.this will be her first time getting to hatch her own baby's.before I didn't have a drake for her so I would take her eggs and replace them with peeking duck eggs.well two weeks before she started setting we got her a drake.well she played twelve eggs and went broody.all twelve where fertile.one had a blood ring and one was cracked that she pushed out the nest.well all ten that she has are still alive and developing.she is about 6_7 years old.she has hard about five broody before this.and she is the best mom.I'm hoping they all hatch for her.
YAY!

Good luck!!! Hope it works out for you!

Egg number ten today for my scovy. The nest is lined with down almost all the way around but not sitting yet. I think she has a few more eggs to lay until she sits but it's gunna be in the 60's and 70's all weak instead of like the 20's and 30's like the last few weeks. So I think this week is the weak. Soo excited!!!!! She is 10-11 months old so is her first Tim going broody. Wonder how it'll turn out?!

I only have muscovy, but I've heard they will hatch out other types of eggs. Mine won't start sitting until she has 18-20+ eggs in her nest.

Duck train heading down the hill.

Buttercup

Hunter being handsome

Willow and Meg eyeballing me for treats

Hunter with his crest up charming the ladies. The lavender girls now worship him.

I however am a little miffed at his supreme horniness. We have been stressing manners as of late.
I was curious how many they laid before sitting. I think one of my hens has 13 or 14 now. I was getting worried. And I simply do not have incubator space. I am ordering a Dickey's next month. I am tired of wasting eggs.
