Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Well after testing positive for ILT on Friday.. I am happy to say I got to keep all my ducks. (De-population of all my chickens (40) took place last Monday)

My babies are now nearing 6 weeks and they are and continue to bring me such joy!

What is ILT? It's hard to say what their genders are. If you could post side views that would be most helpful. Another thing to look at is theirs stance. Males legs are usually farther apart with the girls very close together. They are beautiful!

Anyone can tell from the picture if they are boys or girls? They're 3 months old, got them today from someone else

Looks like white drake with 2 gals. Very pretty!

I would go ahead and call. I ordered mine early May and had to wait about a month to get them. If he knows what you are wanting and when, he can plan accordingly! I was worried about them looking all sickly when they arrived but the instructions he sent with them for feeding and watering were fool proof and worked like a charm. All ten are doing great and growing like weeds!
Muscovies don't ship well. So happy yours are doing great.

Does anyone know any hatcheries or breeders that sell solid colored muscovies without the canize (white heads) gene? I'm looking for blues, chocolates, or lilacs. Ducklings or hatching eggs are fine. They would have to either ship or be located in Pennsylvania.

@txcarl1258 I know you said you had some chocolate ripple & chocolate split to ripple hatching eggs you could ship when they started laying again for the season. Do you have any available yet?

Thanks

I thought that they would be sickly looking or maybe even dead after they shipped them but they were all perfectly healthy. There were strict feeding and watering instructions and I ended up taking the day off to watch them and make sure they acclimated well, but over all, they did great!

Here is a pic of mine when younger, see how the girl on the right and chocolate boy on the left (far left is a barred girl but you can't see the tail). You can see where each of their wings stop and their tail is. That is a big difference in how they look, he had just started to get bigger in body size and a bit taller too.
OK, I went home and tried to compare tails.. haha still no luck. I know I have one runt that is half the size of everyone else, but she has been that way since birth. Here are some more pics from last night.

Infectious larengotrechiosis. Fortunately ducks/water fowl are not carriers. Chickens, pheasant, quail are.. and government agencies sectors will cull your flock if you test positive. It is a nasty virus. So we are in quarantine for about the next 3 months.. so no new poultry here. We will rebuild next spring..:)
