How'd you get em to line up like that? lol pretty babies. I lost my only chocolate to egg laying problems 3 yrs ago now I really would like a chocolate. and lilac added to my group. and ....
I have Muscovy's and Runners and Buffs. One drake is Muscovy the other Runner. They completely ignore each other the girls rarely mingle and they were hatched by the Muscovy's.Does anyone have another breed of duck with their Muscovies? I am thinking of getting Ancona ducks (for eggs) and concerned about two drakes of different duck species getting along.
Thanks. Yeah, that's why I posted it, lol. They gawky ones don't get a lot of puplicity, lol.I'm partial to chocolates, too...all of mine are chocolate or choc pied.![]()
@Ren2014 , they're so cute at the gawky juvenile stage. Their feet look huge - but we all know they grow into them!
AWESOME! How many will you have then?Country Hatchery. 5 blue and 5 brown. Hoping to get a few that are mostly chocolate. Dont have any full body colored ones yet!

I don't think any of us look forward to the extra boysThe chocolates are pretty. I don't know if I'll ever have any. I'll let my two girls hatch some eggs to add a few more females. I'm not looking forward with what to do with the extra boys though.

I did. I don't know if my Muscovy drake ran my WH drake off or if a predator got him, but my Muscovy took over his girls. This was a young Muscovy drake and he took to the ducks instead of other Muscovy girls.Does anyone have another breed of duck with their Muscovies? Help... I have a past buyer who is having problems with one of the drakes she bought from me at just a few days old. He is a big beautiful boy now but she is having major aggressive problems with him. She has put him in drake jail and tried everything else that we know to show him she is the dominant one. Below is from her, any suggestions?
"He now grabs the kids through the chain link fence if they get too close when feeding the girls treats through the fence. He focuses on me primarily and has only viscously attacked me but will bite anyone too close to his run. When I try to dominate him in any way he gets more mad and comes back at me ten fold. I've tried making noise like the girls instead of hissing back?
I'm just conflicted. I can go in and grab him up and put him in the cage. Without much issue. He has only grabbed my arm once luckily I had on a light jacket so it was bruised with just a scrape versus real damage. If I don't grab him up quickly though he will instantly start the dominance dance fluffing his wings, head down and charging while hissing like crazy. If I don't contain him fast enough when he approaches like that he will rush up jump and grab my pants as high as he can and kick with his claws. But he allows me to reach down and grab him up? Just confused by his behaviors."
