Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Yes. I have a dresser drawer under it. Making it 1/2 ft off the bedded ground. My Muscovy's don't like anything on their floor. They drag anything on the ground around their coop. Like feeder or waterer. Tried putting the tire on the ground, and they wouldn't lay in it. I have about 1/2 ft beding on the floor so when ducklings hatch, they won't be hurt by the fall. I have mounted dog kennels in their coop for when mama and babies leave the nest they'll have a safe place to rest.

Hey guys have a question. One of my Muscovy girls (the one in barn) took all of her eggs and pushed them all out around her. When I last checked she had 14. Now she has 22. To were cracked. Most weren't developed all were cold. What do I do now. Shes sitting in middle with eggs all around her. Do I toss all of them and trash nest? If it doesn't break her do I try to give her more? I gave her most of the eggs I got from people on here because she had hatched out twice with previous owners. Not sure what went wrong.

If they were fresher eggs, maybe try to put them back. I don't know the best route. In other news. 11 fresh muscovy. I went to let mamma out to bathe, and they were in the water dish lol (it's a small drain pan from walmart for mechanics)

So excited!!! Going to be picking up this beautie on Wednesday!! 2 hour drive but totally worth it! Only blue Muscovy within 3 hour drive!

Is a 2-3 year old Female Muscovy considered old? Will she still lay good amounts of eggs?

If she's closer to 3yrs, I wouldn't call her old, but certainly not in her prime. I think once they hit 4-5, egg production, etc. starts to decline. The experts say large breeds like the muscovy typically live 5-7 years but can certainly make it to 10. Haven't had mine long enough to know.

Today is the hatch day I have for my girl Venus in the culvert. No idea how many eggs or if she'll have any but hopefully she'll come out with some little fuzzy babies this week.
