Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Oh that is beyond cute! wouldn't it be fantastic if they turned out to be a pair!
I don't think Muscovies think in pairs.

I know just kidding, my 2 drakes have multiple marriages, one has 4 girls the other 3 and my gander has 1 of his own and 4 of the oldest drakes only because he can.

Oh and this morning the 3 youngest girls had laid their eggs so I put them in front of Alice and she gently moved them under her. I don't know if I'd let her sit another 35 days but it may keep her on the nest till the gosling gets here.

My oldest spot clearly has his favourites .. it could be because my other two boys are so er.. selfish lol

They can be selfish that for sure, my youngest drake was chasing down one of Ernies girls yesterday afternoon boy can he run when he has too, lol well I pushed him off but he chased her down again so I just left them alone. That Testosterone is really rampant in these young ones.

Got some better shots of our baby yesterday.. it turned 4wks roughly speaking fri... I am truly hoping it;s a duck, we desperately need more, that was the whole point of our breeding... but it's a dice roll, i am fully aware.

I think this shot is so funny, looks like it's trying to figure out what it's feet are lol

and yes that is mama duck right beside it, i am always amazed at how sharp those 'scovie nails are, already resembling little pins!

Love this thead, not read the whole lot but quite a bit.

I have fallen in love with these birds, we have a lavender & white female - Edwena, a black & white female - Zoe, a white male (hes huge) - Frank and 3 little ducklings, looking like 2 females 1 white & lavender, 1 white & chocolate and another white male.

We purchased them all from market over the past 2 months or so we've had Edwena the longest she mothered some other ducklings that we'd bought and is currently sitting 7 of her own eggs :0), she has now lined the nest in fluffy feathers and whistle away when you go near, I do hope she can hatch them, she started sitting full time yesterday I think shes been getting a clutch before sitting full time - would I be right in thinking this. We put 9 eggs in the bator over a week ago and 8 are fertile so we've also got 8 muscovy eggs in the bator too. Is there anything different that you should do with muscovy eggs, the are in an auto turn bator oct 20, do you have to manually turn once a day like you do with goose eggs?

I will get some pictures soon and upload them.

She sure is pretty. and it does look like it's wondering if it has someone elses shoes on. lolI like it's two toned colors on it's feet. We're still hoping for a girl in our first one.
