Muscovy keepers share your pics!

I do believe Bleenie is right.... left is black and right is Blue Fawn/Lilac darker phase. I've had some real nice Blue Fawns this year but have sold them all. Very popular right now.

Thanks!! Although I was hoping they would be like the tan (don't know the color name) drake I saw there, I love black and blue fawn!!

I am so loving my Scovies!
They are starting to test their wings, boy do they get some power behind them! I told Yin she was my honorary fan during the hot days, lol.

So I witnessed Yang (my Drake) devour a frog this morning, it was lounging in their little 'pond'... should I offer them live food like fish and frogs?

Hello everybody, I am new to the muscovy world this year and wanted to share my pics.
I specifically sought out solid and solid patterned birds.
Here are a few of my favorites so far.

Buff & Lilac ducks

Sepia/Blue duck (I could be wrong on the name of her color!)

Black barred drake (I have his sister too who is also so pretty and a bit darker)

Blue barred drake

Blue Fawn duck

I ended up with 2 trios after I grew out what I had and culled the extras. They are

Drake- blue fawn
Duck #1 - blue fawn
Duck #2 - lilac

Dake - blue barred
Duck #1 - sepia/blue
Duck #2 - black barred

I can't wait until next spring :o)
(Yes this means that the black barred drake seen above didn't make the cut!!! He's still here though until he finds a new home. Any takers??

Beautiful colors.

Hi all!

Anyone live near Louisville, Kentucky? I would love to buy a trio of scovies from you.

Thanks
Sitran

Got my two new hens today(: they were in isolation... but I forgot it wasn't completely covered... so now they are in with my other ducks. I cant get them tonight, too dark and no one to help me make a cover for the isolation room. I'll get them moved in the morning and check everyone for bugs/illness. I'll post pics when I get on the computer (right now on on my phone) but one looks like a chocolate Carmel sundae, she's brown with spots of black, tan, and white. Soo cute!! The other is mostly white with gray and black splotches.

You don't have to worry so much with ducks about illness or bugs as you do chickens. Congrats and looking for pics when you can

I rescued more ducks!! The local Chinese restaurant was coming to get the lot of them (

) if they werent sold by today so I came home with two

On the ride home (: the white and gray hen doesn't have a name yet but it may be something 4 lettered... She has gotten out of three pens, one of which is completely covered and wired in hardware cloth

... I clipped her sisters wing today and will get Apollo's done on Saturday when my BF can help me hold him down.

Cocoa, I know shes chocolate but is there a name for her pattern? Doesn't she look like a carmel sundae?
droolin.gif

Her feathers are a bit rumpled from a rather nasty drake at her former home.

Apollo, he LOVES the new girls. Him and Cocoa will have lengthy conversations as they're playing in the mud puddles. It's too cute

Oh my gosh they are beautiful, and i think the caramel/chocolate covered one is called ripple. or barred, I am not an expert on color. So out the window went moms amount of ducks right? congrats Apollo looks very pleased.
