I can tell you from experience Muscovies are awesome, they are friendly and very mellow[unless they have ducklings] as you have found out, they are great mothers and wonderful broodies. usually around 4 weeks you should be able to start telling boys from girls, boys will start to get larger and have thicker legs. having a group of 11 you shouldn't have any problems telling sex pretty early. There is a site on Google called Muscovy central which shows colors. Sorry you can't add pics, we'd love to see them. They also wag their tails, and a way to a muscovies heart is through their tummies, mine love frozen peas thawed and dried meal worms.

I love mine already and i have only had them a week. The baby are so cute and ive just added a tray for them to paddle in inside their run as they have blisters on some or their feel. I cant wait to pair some up as there are black lavender and chocolate and they are all pure just put under the lavender. I'l have a look on that website and ill keep trying with the pics

What color is this mother? My muscovy hen hatched some ducklings that look like some of these. They are feathering out now. They are tan & blue.Not one or the other but both colors. What is the color called? Is this what Lavender is?
