Drakes can be aggressive especially during mating season, but most of mine a pretty laid back [lazy actually] the ducks are always busy and the drakes just knda lay around. I've never had one be aggressive to me though even when i have broken up fights. and they can still fly somewhat even if a wing is clipped but they can't go far. Clipping one wing keeps them off balance. Are the males as aggressive as I've heard and also, will they be flighty if I clip the wings?
Well congrats a few months early, you'll love them and wish you all the best. Be sure to post back pics when you get them..I luv Muscovies am getting some in spring they will be my first ducks
A drake of any breed can be aggressive so can a duck lol I have owned MANY Muscovy drakes no i would not say as a whole that the drakes are aggressive when raised properly. Are the males as aggressive as I've heard and also, will they be flighty if I clip the wings?
I mean I am congratulating you early you haven't gotten your ducks yet.Wat d u mean Early. When we had ducks a few years back and always hatched in springtime.
Very pretty .Hey guys, love all the pics!! It's been a while since I've posted new pics of my two and got a few when out feeding this afternoon. I think it is interesting that they are the same size and coloring, but one is getting more caruncles faster than the other. They are about 8 months old now and sweet as can be.
