Muscovy keepers share your pics!

My broody muscovy hen is abnormally sweet and gentle for being broody. Does anyone else have a hen like this? She barely even nibbles at you when messing with under her, which I dont do often. And leaves no marks. Doesnt lash at you.. ect. Just abnormally sweet and gentle.

most of mine like that, then I have 2 that are like Atilla the Hun and would cut the head off if they could.

Haha. Protective mommas! Ok I have another question. I noticed my other muscovy hen yanking out some hay from where the broody is sitting. Which there is pleanty of hay there and room, but then she kinda pulls it in a small bunch and pulls little by little to where she is. Could she be going broody or just wanting cooshin?

Sounds a little suspicious she may be getting ready.

well you know I put a baby bath tub in there with hay as nothing else will fit in there because of penny's brooding box and she layed down outside of it? Do you think maybe she's just not sure about getting in there? She was also laying on dirt and thought maybe she was just wanting some bedding, but this is the first time I have delt with broodyness with any bird. She hasnt been laying that I am aware of for the past few days. However I could be wrong and her just be laying with penny and penny is just taking the eggs. However penny knows my times. So from light to dark she does not get off the nest at all. Only when its completely dark will she get off and do her thing lol. Used to be where when she saw me she ran back to the nest lol now she just doesnt get off I any sorts of day li ghh t. However after seeing nene actli g li k e she was I almost thi k she is in very early stages of going broody, but not too sure

Ok she seemed to want to get away from me more then usual. She fluffed up at me and the feathers right at her bum above the tail feathers stay fluffed up. She gave a very stinky poop that looks just like broody poop, but shes not sitting on a nest. What does this mean?

Sounds like a broody to me, why are you trying to get her to lay in something if you give her some nice bedding she'll take care of the rest. Mine have always just used the shaving to make their nests. Sounds like she is getting serious to me.

She started vibrating her feathers at me :hmm.
miss lydia, I gave her some hay and there is also pleanty of room with penny, but she wont lay on it. She will lay in front of the bedding. Im actually very confused. She shows signs of broody, but its like she isnt being broody if you get what I mean
