Hey guys

I've got some really bad news, I now have three ducks missing and probably killed, and now I'm going to kill anything I can that coil hurt him and putting chicken wire on the gate infront of the woods, and I set a fox trap if it's a raccoon possum or skunk in relocating it, but if it's a fox then who wants a fancy fox coat?

Someone was asking for pics of the inside of Duckies house. Here they are. Duckie peeking out the window at me. How I have her nest box situated normally. She hasnt been back in it since I just added the new straw. Tomorrow that will be a perfect nest lol The board across above her head is a big perch in case she gets the urge. I have seen her hop up and perch on other things, but hasn't used this one that i know of. Clean out door closed. It is 2 layers, for security, the peice I cut out to make the opening is fastened to the door, and fits back inside the opening when the door is closed, like a puzzle piece. So it won't shift if pried on. The dark area across the top here is a 4 inch tall vent that goes all the way across the roof. I also used a piece of linoleum on the floor so its easier to clean out. Duckie ramp door closed Duckie ramp door open. Yes, she has a solar porch light. Inside view. couldnt get all inside in one pic. I turned nest box for pic so you could see what it was. Just a covered cat pan, I had to enlarge the opening with a razorblade. Duckie in her house she goes in and out all day, and puts herself to bed at dusk. Any questions? lol. I built this thing out of stuff my dad's contractor neighbor had in his burn pile. we raid the pile for all sorts of things. All I bought to build this was a box of screws, and the hinges and hasps and locks. It will be painted soon, trying to decide what to write above the door... Quack Sweet Shack? Quackatraz? lol And just cause... This is the egg she laid today on top, and her first egg on the bottom. I knew they would get bigger, but this is the difference between 6 eggs so I was a little surprised lol

I have two girls and they don't lay every day and when they both lay one is always larger than the other.

Buck, sorry about your ducks. Thats always heart breaking. Mine are in a pen, cause I don't have a fenced yard and the neighborhood has a lot of dogs that run loose and stray. They are the main predators where I am.
