my female muscovy that just turned a year old has been doing a high pitched chirp the past couple days I've never heard another duck make this noise so i was worried it wasn't normal. has anyone else had this happen?

my girls will do that if they are stressed or bothered.

this is a post for pictures, but just like for me and anyone else, your more then welcome to post here. She may be bothered or stressed out by the kids and cats then.

Muscovies make sounds that do not match what you normally hear from a duck. The males hiss, the females coo or chirp. One of my broody ones makes a chirp or coo anytime someone walks by the pen. Also, the Muscoview became more vocal when I put my pekins out. Before that, basically the only sound I heard was the male hissing. They are very quiet ducks.
