Muscovy keepers share your pics!

so much stress here with the flock. Boys are picking on each other, the young boys picking on the girls, the girls picking on each other. I have too many males I think. Still haven't sold one

One of my new traded for scovy hens gets angry and does that linebacker hut hut hut shuffle really rapidly at me..??? my original scovy hatched decent, and had to help a couple out of gooky nasty shrink wrapped eggs. she was so good about though and let me check out her hatchlings. traded for mother is really testy though.

all my buyers for young im now hatching out, just now backed out or not returning pms etc.. so soon to be really really over run with more young!!!

My extra males become dinner. Seeing as we normally keep one drake with at least 5 females, the drakes have to go that way. Muscovy meat is very nice and also healthy, have you eaten it?

no I have not
I'm not able to process any of my Scovys one reason I am not hatching this year, have a hard time selling them too. So I am practicing birth control, no different than what I would do if I had dogs that weren't fixed. TherryChicken, how large an area do they have? maybe their in too close quarters I have too keep some of my boys seaprate from each other during mating season, and yep the girls get into it too, and of course the youngest drakes are full of them selves and want to mate all the time, It can get crazy. Keep an eye on your girls and if you have to make a drake pen then do that. It's all part of keeping Muscovy's or any other poultry really.

their area is pretty small for all of them, but we are working on building everyone a much larger area. Their new coop will be 18' x 15'
