Okay I have my first scovy babies right now. I ordered 10 from Country Hatchery and hatched 7 in the incubator. One is exhibiting very strange behavior so I figured I would ask about it. Does anyone else's ducklings climb the walls of the brooder. I think I need to give him a jungle gym or something. He must be bored. Just had to share because it was just so weird to see it all the way to the top of the cage.

after pic I added grip tape so they can get out easier. Just got this pool yesterday.

We just looked at a pool like this when I was at the feed store. Does the grip tape seem to help them getting out and in. I have a large hard plastic pool but I need to actually add a ramp or some way to be able to help them get in since it has high sides.

Yes it does. It's like sandpaper duck tape so they can get a grip and get out. I put it on the edge and on the little step part of the slide. I put it on the edge where they go in as well, cause they were trying to perch on the edge going in and the plastic is very slick. I just put some firewood beside it so they can climb in, and a landscaping rock in the pool they stand on to get out.
