Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Ok so this is Shell, I took pictures of her at all angles and notice even more blue on her today, but under her wings and on her chest she's still chocolate

Thanks y'all :D she's pretty much my baby. She let's me pick her up without trying to get away or struggle. She follows me around sometimes. And yeah she's just my little baby girl. She goes up when I call her. She just like one of my best girls.

Sorry for the long paragraph about her, it's just. About two maybe three months ago I thought I lost her to something that took three of my other ducks and I just like died inside when I couldn't find her. So I'm really emotional because I thought I lost her. And I know most farmer guys like me just see a lost duck but the way I see it, it's like I lose a family member one that I watched grow up from a newborn that I hatched to a full grown duck. So yes I can admit that I get emotional when I lose a duck. Sorry just the way I am.

I think that is sweet Buck, nothing at all wrong with loving our animals. They bring joy to our lives. Your duck is beautiful. And your flock is blessed to have you caring for them.

X2! I flipped out when my son let my cat out right after moving... and after me telling him to leave the door shut and why. I was a hot mess until I found her! Nothing wrong with caring about your animals.

I looked at all my ducklings this morning. 10 were born on the 16th of June and 6 were born on the 19th of June so they are all right around 5 weeks but the 10 are 3 days older than the 6. I have decided that they don't read the books and are not going to follow the norm.

This little one has red started on the outside edge of it's beak like caruncles and has for about a week. It's feet are small and when I look at it's wing tips it has some hairs and what looks like maybe the beginnings of blood feathers but the tip is pretty bare. So it has two characteristics of a boy and two of a girl since it's feet are small and so is it's breast.

This little one is one of the bigger birds in the group and I would have pegged it as a boy just on size alone. It has the beginnings of the red on the edge of it's beak and a big pronounced breast but has small feet and wing feathers started already lol. So do I guess boy or girl? I just don't know. They are going to keep me guessing until they are fully grown I am sure.

The rest of the birds are similarly confusing not sure about any of them so I guess I will just have to wait and see what happens in another month or so.
