Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Alice, which of these ducks I posted does Kristof look most like? Do you see the difference between the male and female scovies in that pic?
I think she looks very much like my black duck.
Ducks hiss too, as I said. They tend to quack only when they´re upset about something.

They are, aren´t they? Congrats to the ducks, though, MLyd, not me. ;)
Today we had hail. Quite big, too, and one of the ducks got under a bench with her 3. Another took her 4 back up the hill, 'dodging' the hail stones, poor little souls, until they arrived at their nest. Mum duck wasn´t hanging around, they must have been exhausted!

Hail? yikes, we have extreme heat today right with a warning in regards to it, i have some almost 2wk olds but their mama is doing well keeping them content.

You don't know who has survived ? where are the ones who survived? Don't think a raccoon wouldn't kill your ducks. they kill ducks all the time, stay on here long enough you'll see for yourself. I'm very sorry.

I havent been to my gmas since they went missing. My mom has been, and she said she thinks the big drake was killed. Its kind of a good thing though...we had two drakes and three hens. But its still sad because they all got along.
its not coon, it would have eaten their heads...
also, they already survived a coon.

I see two older hens, one younger one, and 4 young males.
@Alice28, this is a great pic that shows the width of the stance of males.

Thanks, the older ones are 1 female & 1 drake though. Not the best photo of Coco & channel though. They both stay :) They don't like the new babies though. Hahaha

The second picture you posted looks like Kristof. I'm still going to wait a bit as long as they don't hurt Ana

Good idea.

I´m sure your ducks will be fine. If Kristof is a female, and I reckon she is, she´ll be very good-looking. she´ll be useful in brooding eggs if you ever want to breed anconas, and you´ll enjoy her intelligence and character.
Don´t be too worried about the mounting thing. It looks a bit like they´re going to be drowned, but they´re generally fine. I had two ganders trying to mate a goose today, poor thing, and she quite disappeared under the water. Crazy birds!

Really?  In the pic they look like two hens.  Which one is the male then?  They´re both very nice-looking.

Hey livin, the one on the left is the male. They are both 3 years old now. I got the babies tho replace the pekin we had who passed away in May. They were both really depressed.

3 years old? Well that´s the prettiest, daintiest male I´ve ever seen. Maybe it´s the angle of the photo.
So will you be keeping one of your young males?
