I ran into a gent yesterday at the farm store nearby who said he thought he had a scovie sitting a nest in one of his goat sheds. He figures there's about 18 eggs under her. There were 2 hens laying there at first and then this one went on broody lockdown. He says I can have the chicks if I want them! I went to look at the mama and she is gorgeous, too! He thinks these ducks came from a neighbor who got in trouble for having too many. I'm hoping that the eggs are fertile vs. futile, lol. I may ask him if I can have or buy mama from him as well . . .
They sure are pretty GQ it's awfully hard for me to part with them too, then this morning 2 of the drakes got into it which makes it a lil easier once they get to fighting age. But still hard.
