Bad news guys!!!! My male muscovy duck ,the one who is the dad of my ducklings, got a chunk of his thigh bitten out by something, he's gonna live I know that for sure, but still , should I wrap it up in one of my natural herb remedies or order medicine, I used the herbs for one of my females since she got mauled by or of our dogs twice , but his is from a real predator so I dont know what I should use

I'd wash it out good Buck you can use plain water or mix up some salt and warm water and wash it out good with that, preds including our dogs have bacteria in their mouths so you want to clean the wound real good. then if you have any neomycin or triple antibiotic or if you have used any herbal concoction and it's worked go with that and yes i would wrap it for at least time to cover with a scab. But you need to keep an eye on it because sometimes they need to drain before closing up which can cause infection to set in so bandage and change daily to make sure it is draining. Was this in broad daylight? and when you get a chance tell us about your herbal. glad to hear he is going to be okay.

Okay Thankyou I put some water there and got a better look and it's actually under his wing but it's already scab in and healing and it happened hut yesterday but he's really week but fine instead of that
I would watch it because when they scab over to fast they can get an infection, just watch that it doesn't start to swell or smell.
