no im petting him. The bruised one I was taking away an egg and he did that. The other I was petting him
Evidently this young man needs to realize you don't bite the arm that feeds you, I'd put that boy down on his belly and hold him there till he cry's uncle. or don not pet when guarding the nest. I got to where I bring a think piece of bamboo with me when I go to collect an egg under a broody, I use it to hold her off so I can grab the egg. Works for me boy they can pinch hard. Sometimes we have a moody[drake] when we have a broody [duck]

My broody girl just acted like what are you doing! Lol! But no biting. She is really protective over her goslings though that I gave her.

well he doesn't normally pinch hard, just occassionally grabs me just right which gets the blood to stick right under my skin. Normally it looks like he's grooming me and the way he does it makes me think he's being affectionate. But he just gets me just right sometimes on accident and causes these ugly bruises and marks.

Its like he doesn't show any sign of aggression unless my son chases them too much. Otherwise it's like he's grooming me as I am him

I'd still be doing what Miss Lydia suggested.
I had the exact same thing happen with my boy.
He'd always nibble at me and it was affectionate but as soon as his girls started laying he turned into a right royal punk of a drake and it was awful!
I didn't want to mount him for fear of breaking our bond but as soon as I spent an afternoon doing it whenever he bit, it stopped. He wasn't pleased but he knows the boundaries now.
Get on top of it before he gets more confident doing it! Otherwise, you'll inevitably end up spending half a day running around the yard mounting a duck giving the neighbors some free entertainment lol.

Ducks aren't made to be chased and can end up injured, their legs aren't made for running.
