You´re quite right about the drakes. If they´re behaving in an aggressive form toward people, they should go on a plate. They´re no good for breeding or for pets.Thank you. But I do feel I have to point out, there is no "man of the house" role. Again, we are partners. I've tried to find a home for Kristof, but it hasn't worked out finding a place for him as a pet. And then the whole attacking my son, it just can't happen. If you eat meat, you have to be able to handle every aspect. Like I said, my family is farmers, my dad's a hunter. I can love my animals all I want, but they aren't my children. My son is my child and he comes first always. This week it was for sure decided. We can't keep holding off trying to find a home if our son is being attacked. One day we planned to have meat ducks, so I guess this will be are first. It wasn't what we were planning, but I'm sure he is happier then the chickens that people go and buy at the grocery store were.
Oh how one post can turn into me not being a real woman as my husband calling the shots! Lol. I'm sure if my husband read that he would laugh. Trust me, there are other things he would choose first before what to do with Kristof if he called the shots! Hahaha!
Would you believe it, one of my muscovies has gone off with 5 ducklings to my neighbour´s pond AGAIN! There´s no-one there for most of the time, so it´s peaceful for her, but she´s taken 5 with her! What a pest. I´m sure she has 2 with the lighter-coloured tails that I want! Next time she comes back I shall pen her babies in. The other ducks keep their babies in my place. I shan´t be breeding this one again, she has the wander lust!
