Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Doesn't anybody know how to get rid of torn up feathers?

BOSS= black oil sunflower seeds are good for feathers but a molt is about all that will.
I thought that happened if they weren't bathing enough or the water was too dirty. Apparently really poopy water can strip their feather oils and make them a bit shabby,.? I'm not sure, I'm relatively new to ducks
No, especially with Muscovy they have an undeveloped oil gland compared to mallard derived ducks and are simply not as waterproof and therefore tend to have that torn look more often, mine rid it with a molt.

Well I sold 43 of my 48 ducklings yesterday. Keeping a barred chocolate, two dusky colored ones, and one black/white just because it had just hatched and probably would not have survived the drive to their new home. Also have two more in the bator that have pipped.

Buck, good luck at the show!

Ah ok :)
My ducklings LOVE the pond, the swim underwater too. Does anyone else's do that. I thought they weren't massively keen on big adventures in water, but mine have, well taken like ducks to water..

I mean like some of males have showed early signs but my females hasn't quite yet showed actual signs but relatively my females never do they just loose a couple of feathers one week have the already half grown back the next week and then they lose some more, and the process goes on and onto kk al the feathers have been molted

Did you film it???? Would´ve been fun, I imagine!
And you kept some pretty ones, too.

Did you sell them all to just one person? That´s a lot of ducklings to sell in a day!
Ah ok

Ducklings love the water even more than their moms do! I love to watch mine during the day, diving about in the water, stamping on the riverbed to stir up bugs and worms, and at dusk, diving about on the water, catching little bugs.
