Muscovy keepers share your pics!

We tightened up our mouse traps and are catching them left and right. We culled the silver drake, he was very hard to put up at night and picked on everyone in the yard. Can I toss them the mice to eat?

I think I have only 3 ducks left, 4 drakes. I'm particularly attached to one nice black drake I named Elvis. He seems to be the main lookout also. Should I keep 2 or 3 females or one or two drakes?

The girls are a pretty light brown lavander, dark chocolate and a black girl. The black little girl gets into trouble a lot, flying on top of the barn, flying over the 6'tall mostly bird block enclosed pen. Now they are herded into the new chicken/duck condo and it started snowing today

These are the ones I'm keeping. Idk about keeping the light brown one, she's huge! The dark brown is the smartest that I have noticed. The older ones are 5.5 months old, the little girl 3 months old.

Well I've heard stories about male muscovies eating rats that got into females nest. But will they willingly eat them i don't know, i wouldn't try it, a bone could get fought in the intestines or maybe even make the birds sick, i wouldn't try it. and are you sure that light chocolate one is a female?

I think if it were a male it would have more caruncling at six weeks my males had already more flesh then that and Muscovies are extremely carnivorous compared to other ducks so they would be fine I bet but I wouldn't go bigger than a pinkie mouse or adult small mice I haven't gotten a chance but want to feed mine some pinkies as a treat just my opinion.

I pulled a mouse nest out of a building we keep out weed wackers in and it contained tiny new born mice those Scovy's snatched them up before I even got a chance to see much of it. thank goodness. lol

Muscovy definitely eat.. rodents, as a matter of fact so do many ducks and chickens, not long ago the Pekin took the mouse off the poor barn cat(shows how kind he is to them, he is a fighter just not towards my birds)

Though i will admit i would never purposely give the ducks anything of that sort, sorry just not my thing lol
