I was always fascinated about how they weren't like other ducks

Kind of like us duck/poultry people aren't like other people.

I like muscovys too. they are a unique duck. did you know they are not true ducks?

That's what I've heard, but I've raised geese, Muscovy's and regular duck's, and the Muscovy can not be compared to ether of them. they're just so different.

Hmmm I've only raised Muscovy ducks and they don't seem like geese at all

To me regular ducks such as khaki campbell are a lot like geese, only smaller. Muscovy's I would say, weigh more then the average goose. they have a different kind of wax on they're eggs as well.

My gander weighs around 20lbs my Muscovy drake weighs around 12-15 lbs. again depends on breed of goose, my gander is Embden my goose is Toulouse and she is lighter than my drake, but my 2- 6 months of age geese weigh more than their adopted mama the Toulouse. Have I confused you yet? lol and yes Scovy eggs do have a waxy coating.

I met a guy who had cotton patch geese and he said the males get about 12lb max and I've read that muscovy drakes up to 15lb
