Cool. We have a couple of poplar branches stripped of leaves that we call "duck sticks". The ducks know they are not to go toward the stick, so we can easily herd them. Tonight, I just opened the garden gate and the ducks came out, did their usual head-bobbing, etc and went into the pen all on their own! Tomorrow night they have to go in the greenhouse due to cold. All the ducks we've had would herd easily with just a long stick!I herd mine in if they are reluctant, I walk behind them with my long bamboo pole and use it to steer them the way I want them to go, now all they have to do is see it and me and they start heading in the right direction, which I am very grateful for since it's so slick out there I doubt I could walk down the steep bank behind them right now.
I've tried it doesn't work very well with mine anyways they all just scatter in random directions you can do it with turkey's thoughQuote:
