my ducks have been cooped up for almost 3 days now, I keep the doors open but they refuse to come out. its in the single digit degrees here (real feels in the negative) but i thought they would at least peak out. will they be okay? i bring fresh food and water into the coop (I have 3 mo old chicks in there who cant come out) should i chase them out? I just have never seen them do this before so im a bit lost. Is it just cause of the cold? should I chase them out or just let them be?

As long as they have food and fresh water let them make the decision if they want to come out.

Yes it binds to the poison and removes it from the body but go right by the direction when using any of the flushes even the acti charcoal Do you have the directions for the flushes? I'd make her a soupy mix with her feed warm water and feed just a small amount to start with what is her fav treat? does she like peas? if so take a few and mash into her soupy feed to entice her to eat.

we got the charcoal caps, and we opened it up and put the stuff in the water then mixed it around then gave it to her, and no I don't have directions for flushes and I put her crushed feed with water like night and mixed it around and tried feeding her, most of it when into her, and she likes weetbix more then anything but we don't have it bc not much money. Mum bought some garlic paste, she told me to put it in water and mix it around and give it to her but I don't know if it would be good or not

Here vets are 50$ minimum to walk in that door BUT they will NOT look at my birds at all, only put them down if i need. So zero vet options so don't feel bad on that. I hope your baby is doing better today.

jezz, if I ever own a vet, I'd make the money 20 bucks not like 50 + dollars and thank you xx

I will right now she is just resting I guess, she doesn't open her eyes until I put water in her mouth, I want Charlie, her mother, to see her before she passes

Oh no. That makes me sad, the idea of her passing. But at least now she's resting. It's hard to see a creature you love go thru the pain. It's painful for the person too.

Meredith has been sleeping for a couple of hours now, ive been checking up on her and giving her water, I read that some ducklings goes into a coma like state then death so im checking up on her more now. if she survives tomorrow, at 12-2pm I'm going to teach her how to walk again, try get her on her feet, if she cant then i'll just leave it
