Um if he is talking about grit then yes it's oyster shell & should be supplemented.

no down south we have these things called gritz and they are like really good, and most people that come from up north say that they've never heard of gritz but fritz are just ground up corn and wheat pretty much and its like cream of wheat but much better, its the southern form of cream of wheat if you will

Over mating can cause stress for the female make her stop laying and over all bad for her health, they can rip out her feathers too.

Grits I'd say would probably be okay to feed in small amounts along with reg feed but it is corn so not a complete diet.

i mainly just feed my ducks corn, but they are free range so i guess thats where they get most nutrition, but yeah corn is their main diet here, lol, but also dog food and cat food so its good

Okay I knew the feather thing my chickens have had that problem and the egg laying isn't a problem my goose is pumping out eggs like its candy so long as it's not doing internal damage she will be okay until I get some girls if her feathers get worse im separating them.
