i feed mine corn and sometimes game bird chow. Like you know the corn you feed like deer and stuff, thats what i feed my ducks, its perfectly fine for them and they eat it up like little pigs because it tastes so good to them, i would try corn if i were you only because its beneficial in most ways, but also when they eat it every now and then add some game bird chow in it,or even organic/non-medicated chick starter since it gives them the basic vitamins and proteins plus some dried cat food or small dog food for their other protein cravings. Of course its always great to free range, mine are strictly free range yet go up at night and they are very healthy besides the fact that wild birds come in a and land at the pond so it is partially a health hazard. But free ranging gives them the natural stuff like grit and bugs of course and they are in tip top shape, besides a few having getting sick every now and then , but they're really hardy and get over most of it themselves. Also free ranging boosts the immune system so thats always a plus on their behalf.haha ty I actually memorized most of that list before even building my duck house. I'm fully aware of the dangers of bread but I was unaware they were eating bread until I actually picked them up. I was more worried that they are addicted to a poor diet. One female did try the kale I floated in their pond today, so I did have a small victory. I did get them to eat beans but I had to sit there and hull each one by hand for them.
