Muscovy keepers share your pics!

also I'm making my pen floors concrete, I'm tired of the ground getting so muddy when it rains :( its very irritating, and plus i think it will help the ducks stay cleaner since i can spray off the concrete every day.
How big is your pen. Concrete is not a good idea. Not natural. Just put a lot of sand all through out the pen. A lot. And put pool in a low spot. I thought your birds free range? If your pen gets that bad then when it becomes too muddy let them out

About once a week I get a giant egg, usually a double yolker. I'm not sure if it's Muscovy or mixed mallard derived as they all lay in the same nest. Anyone else get that many doubles? I'm hoping my muscovys go broody soon. There's 13 eggs since I stopped collecting them, but so far the girls are way till social for motherhood. I had a long talk with them in the merits of motherhood this afternoon, but that handsome drake kept distracting them so I'm not sure they were listening.

I've never had a double yolker with any of my Muscovy's and I've had Muscovy's for 11 yrs. That looks like it hurt. lol That pep talk you had is going to back fire you know, your going to go out there one of these days and they will all be broody, they can't help themselves just the way they are.
