My little ducklings had some swim time in the sink this afternoon. They loved it. Well two of them did. After 5 minutes the one with the dark bill (my favorite) was bored and wanted a nap. Every time I hold this duckling, it immediately falls asleep.

Anyway, by morning they will have some new siblings. Their mom has 8 eggs under her and all have either internally or externally pipped and some are working on hatching it looks. Friday is day 35 so I guess they are right on schedule. She's a very good mom and has already organized her eggs.
I just hope my other girl figures things out. She is now laying eggs in the box but I don't know if she'll go broody.

thats a tough one, the bulls eye could be small or it could just not be a bullseye at all, you should ask Kathy :)

I'm not real good at that, lol.

Here is the best example of a fetilized egg I could find.

This is my attempt at taking pictures of what I thought were fertile eggs...

I guess it was not fertile. but I saw them mating yesterday. I will break a few of the first eggs and check. there was just a tiny white spot, nothing similar to the above pics.

They are adorable. Look forward to seeing the new littles.
