My babies are getting so big. 4 weeks old now. Can't tell male from female yet, though i have My suspicions.

Anyone happen to have any extra, young, females around Central Ohio? I thought I had 4 hens and 3 drakes... but it turned out the opposite. They are all very sweet and I dont plan on giving any of them away. More males means a little more protection because they are usually the first to go in a predator attack.

Dont know if any of you remember, but we lost all of our grandpas ducks to a mink last winter. We have since upgraded the winter pen and we may even just let them stay on the pond during winter. We decided to try again with birds from a friend and a young pair of our own call ducks. And with this ban in ohio, we cant get more from swap meets or shows.

So I'm feeding flock raiser and dilutin with wheat to help avoid angel wing I got last year.
A few of them are popping up with it. What do ya'all feed? These are 3-4 weeks old

okay around that age i just feed them cracked corn mixed in with start n grow, and after matter of time ween them off the start and grow and just give them chalked corn until they are old enough to eat layena crumbles. i find it the best way to prevent foot problems and other protein problems

This is Betty. She's sitting on her egg. Hopefully one week to go. She started off with 7 eggs. All the rest vanished so 1 is remaining. I tried moving her in the coop. But she DID NOT like that. Fussy girl..
