Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Actually you will only get lavender if your birds carry the gene. It can't be created from blues two blue genes gives you a silver.
I've got lavender from chocolate and blue genes but i'm pretty sure when the blue doubles to give you silver plus blue fawn can give you lavender, because i just got lavender babies and i dont think I've ever had a lavender in the line, i may have buts its a slight chance like tiny little smallest chance ever and the parents weren't even lavender so it would be like a grandparent... and even then only a slight, very slight chance

Pics would be great....

Silver drake over blue fawn hens should give you blue and silver offspring all males will carry chocolate.

Blue fawn drake over silver female will give you blue fawn, buff, and blue females. Males will be blue and silver 50% will carry chocolate.

More than likely your birds were carrying lavender recessively and a few birds hit the genetic lottery.

well see my blue fawn hen isn't exactly blue fawn.. she's a calico

and she had a son who was also calico although he showed more signs of blue than chocolate

he has way more chocolate now, and he mated with a white and blue pied female who i will also get a picture of tomorrow and her father may or may not have been partially lavender i have no idea in all honesty, i free range and only sometimes breed them specifically and the only time i had a lavender male was for about 3 months from december to about march so... and that was in 2014

That's great. Glad you had some new colors. That's the bad thing about Muscovies they can carry so many hidden genes for generations before they pop up. So many color variables and very few breeders breed for specific colors so most do not know the genetics behind their birds. One of the only things I count on is if a female isn't chocolate she doesn't have it.

Oh my gosh i know, i had two black parents and they made an almost all white baby just with a black spot on its back i was like what? where did you come from XD

I'm going to take pictures tomorrow of my lot. I want to know their colours too. I can't see the difference between, lavender, blue, silver and I don't know what is fawn and pie. I just read it here and if I google it shows any colour muscovy and not what I google
